Laura Jomon Martin has been practicing with the Zen Community of Oregon since 2004. She has been involved in membership and organizational development of the Sangha. She has been a meditation instructor, and the chair of the Harmony Committee, the Sangha's conflict resolution body, for several years. She completed the 3-year Sanghakai training in 2013, and in 2016 was made a Dharma Holder. She currently assists on Sunday mornings at Heart of Wisdom, and teaches workshops with her husband Patrick Bansho Green on Mindfulness & Money and Transforming the Inner Critic. Her career has been in social work since 1993, primarily in community mental health. She is currently an LCSW in private practice, and a teacher of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.
